As quoted from "10 Best": Blu Jaz Café is a bohemian-style bar/pub that features
regular live jazz, DJ and comedy sessions.
Located at Bali Lane, in the middle of indie-chic Kampong Glam,
Blu Jaz Café is set-up in this restored shophouse at a beautiful heritage area.
Inside, tables allow for convivial dinners with friends,
while lounge seating and cozy corners are set up for more intimate encounters.
Outside tables spill onto the surrounding sidewalk
and courtyard for late-night conversation and good times.
Blu Jaz's said to pride themselves on their affordable menu,
which features a selection of bar snacks (burgers, hot dogs & wings),
comfort grub (fish & chips, lasagna and Bolognese),
local delights (chicken curry, seafood fried rice)
and Middle Eastern favorites (shwarmas, falafels and kebabs).
A large selection of draft and bottle beers, spirits and cocktails are also on offer.
But to be completely blatant, we were actually there for this:

With a sense of humor pretty much like guys,
I'm a fan of American comedies like "How I met your mother",
"The Simpsons", "Family Guy", "Russell Peters" etc etc.
When I was told that there's a cafe that holds stand-up comedies here in SG,
I knew I had to check it out!
We first settled in at level one for dinner (Where they provide live band performances):

Went ahead to order some middle eastern delights.
Somehow, the cafe's theme gave me the impression that it would be their highlight?
And boy, was I right!
The Chicken and Beef Shish Kebabs at $12.90 and $14.90 respectively, was honestly delectable:

Also got mushroom soup and apple juice to compliment my meal:
(soup's quite a disappointment)

Taking pleasure with the food in the cozy ambiance:

Before we knew it... it's time for the Stand-up Comedy, so we moved upstairs!
And oh my god, do I even love it more here:

I was stunned when I looked up and saw this comedian holding onto a condom,
right after I just got seated...

You wouldn't believe what he did next:

He exhaled all the way and blew it so huge till it exploded LOL

Then another Comedian came up and suggested him do the "Astronaut":

And HE DID IT!!!
Donning his very own Condom-made Astronaut's helmet:

The extreme extent that comedians are willing to go, just to
make their audiences laugh.
He definitely succeeded, I must say. It was ridiculously hilarious!

Comedians, from amateurs to professionals took their turns to
contribute and put up the show.
Every comedian are dedicated and would attempt new jokes to keep the show refreshing!

This Malay guy's expressions are priceless and already funny
on their own LOL.

One of the many jokes that I remembered:
You know... Singaporeans, unlike Angmohs that are all so hyped up when they win something.
We, like to complain.
If a variety show calls us and go:
"Congratulations! You just won yourself a pair of tickets to Los Angeles!"
A typical Singaporean would go...
"Only air tickets ah? HOTEL HOW? TAX HOW?
Wa piang eh! 1 pair only?!? Headache leh... My kids how?
Still must take leave sia... Can convert to cash or not huh?" LOL SO DAMN TRUE!

Overall, I had a ball of a time!
It's truly a good way for Singaporeans like ourselves especially,
to de-stress and unwind after a hard day at work.
Different from a usual movie or karaoke night-out... This is definitely
a great alternative for entertainment!
If you appreciate good humor too, you can't miss this:
