You know it's Japanese cuisine,
when even the starters are unexpectedly good:
Didn't expect raw cabbage to be so tasty with lemon and bean sauce. Yums~

Trying grilled puffer fish for my first time!
Tastes like bak kua, though super addictive; especially with the
salmon roe mayonnaise dip:

They specialize with sumiyaki or better known as skewered grilled meat.
"Pick of the day": Set A ($19) and Set D sumiyaki.
Set A: Beef short rib, asparagus rolled with pork, chicken meat ball,
golden mushroom rolled with beef, and pork belly.
Set D: Forgot what's exactly in the menu but there's goose liver (foie gras)!

Giving their self-made honey pomelo drink a shot, pretty smooth on the throat~

"Izakaya" means place of comfort and in the Japanese's term,
Comfort = Alcohol!

Despite me being a teetotaler (picked up this term from hungrygowhere),
this cosy dining bar's not to be missed!

They say: "Women always have room in their stomach
for desserts."
Is that true?
I barely ever have extra room, but I want to indulge in the best of
Robertson quay, so I made space!

I've been wanting to visit Laurent Cafe & Chocolate bar,
having seen the many reviews online and occasionally passing by the nicely decorated cafe:

Actually, what caught my attention was the little blue box that I spotted at the corner the other time.

Their chocolates are wrapped in Tiffany & Co's style boxes!

Select your scoop of ice cream from the wide choices at the bar:

One of their top picks! Chocolate lava cake.
Nothing beats hot chocolate flowing out from a soft and spongy cake,
complimented with a pot of soothing chamomile tea ♥
