Chinese New Year 2012

Happy Chinese New Year, my dearest readers!

This year’s Chinese New Year came with mixed feelings… Same, but different, altogether.

It’s Granny’s favourite festive season.
I can still vaguely remember how she would always be looking forward to it.
The very day, when everyone would gather at her place to celebrate the joyous occasion.

Unfortunately, she left us too soon- a month ago.
And abiding the Chinese tradition, we were not to celebrate after a funeral within the year.
It will never be like before again, where all the relatives would come together to catch up with one another.
It upsets me, especially when her departure already took a part of me.

We had it simple one this year, the usual reunion dinner within my immediate family.
I was although, kindly invited to attend the MBS dinner by one of my best GFs (June),
where I spent the night with HK/Taiwan Celebrities and friends!

Recognize one of my favourite Taiwan host here?
徐乃麟
While bf’s quite a fan of “Laughing Gor”; which explains our positioning :X

We started off the dinner with…

Lo Hei- also known as 捞鱼生, is the tossing of a Chinese New Year dish.
鱼生 is served traditionally on the seventh day of Chinese New Year or Ren Ri ("Everyman's Birthday").
It is a salad dish made of thin slices of raw fish and various spices, mixed with tossing actions by diners.
A play on Chinese homonyms links the ingredients and tossing actions to prosperity and longevity,
all adding to the good wishes for the new year.

And the fantastic performance began:

Blurry photos not taken by me!
But ultimately, we got to give the credits that they do look action-packed at least, yea?
Laughing Gor and pretty artiste doing the Salsa. Impressive much:

Filled to the brim and happy like a fat balloon~~

I’m doing away with those faux lashes and flaunting my natural ones lately~
Show off show off a bit o(^v^)o

But of course, we didn’t went back home with just great hospitality and experience,
but along with all the goodies with courtesy of MBS :)

Every year, I would organize a get together with my friends on CNY, without fail.
So I thought, let’s go ahead with it. I mean, there might be no celebration, but no harm gathering right?

Our bankers for black jack tonight seems to be taking back a little too much, no? :X

Not all the girls are in the picture. Sabrina and Cathy left earlier while Faith and Huiyi arrived late~
So pleased that most of my girlfriends turned up! ♥

Oh and by the way, for those who were wondering what’s the secret Xmas gift I got for my bf…

Here it is!
A special spy watch with camera and recording functions! Thought it’s pretty cool:

Meanwhile, make the best out of these 8 more days of CNY!
Win more money and grab the Ang Baos~

GONG XI FA CAI!
