One of my biggest achievements, at the beginning of year 2012

I am an idealist. I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way.

I know... it's probably the worst time now to get a car, given the ever rising COE.
I've sure heard enough of these advices from friends and everybody else.
But trust me, I've been procrastinating for the longest time- since I last got my license six months ago.

After my constant stalking via sgcarmart (way before I even applied for my driving lessons),
my effort has finally paid off and I took the courage to splurge on my baby by the 22nd year of my life.
The only downside? My insurance came about a shocking $4300.

"Meet my new love!"

I only chanced upon it while car-shopping at Ubi's AutoMobile Megamart a week ago.
You wouldn't believe this, but I've initially had Picanto in mind because it's beneath my budget.

Being not too much of a risk taker when it comes to finance,
I only felt that it could be a safe bet to spend within my savings.

Maybe it was luck that I met a really nice dealer, who went all out to search for the best deal for me!
It was love at first sight, when I was introduced to this gorgeous white prince charming.

Even though red has always been my first choice for a car, "he"swept me off my feet:

But hey, at least the interior's in a beautiful shade of red and black :)

I might not be a fan for modification, but check out my sexy rims!

The spoon that gives it a tinge of sporty look:
(I only replaced the huge exhaust pipe that's annoyingly noisy and ugly, at least to me LOL)

I believe it's fate, that "he" shares the exact birth date as me- 22nd May.
YES I KNOW, WHAT ARE THE ODDS RIGHT?!

I knew for sure, I had to own him.
5 years old, but worth every penny of the $35000.

Run along, tell them all.
I'm in love, in love with someone new. His name is Jazz...

Achievement- my new happiness!

I just got a 2nd hand Jazz too after browsing sgcarmart haha. Hmm, it ain't too shabby a ride, but ... if you intend to hit Malaysia(and not just JB), be prepared for a slightly painful experience. ;)

Hi dear! Which car dealer you got your car from?
Bm Motoring?

@Shawn Chen: Hee! Welcome to the Jazz group too!
So far so good, I'm still extremely in love and pleased about it's performance. Maybe I don't have very high expectations :p

@Anon: Of course it's 2nd hand! It's ridiculous to buy 1st hand now. The COE is even more expensive than the OMV of the car =.=" Bought it for $35k, 5.5 years car. I placed a downpayment of $12k. Monthly gotta pay about $500 for installment :)

@Anon: Nope! If you're keen, you can email me at peggy.hpy@gmail.com I can introduce you to him for a good deal <3

Hmm, just noticed you mentioned you paid a down of $12K? Was that a typo or something? Hehe, 12K is REALLY alot.

Your front spoiler looks quite low too, do be extra cautious if your going down ramps especially in multistorey carparks.

P.S. Congratz on your purchase haha, totally forgot about it :)

did your parents or bf helped in the down-payment?

there is something weird in your car....... how come there's only one cover for the bodykit?

thy-dowager said...

@Shawn Chen: Yeaps, didn't like the idea of taking too much on installment :p Now that you mentioned about it, indeed it does hurt a little when I'm going over the ramp etc., so I try to be extra careful :'( Thanks btw!

@Anon: Of course I paid everything myself, my savings :) How can you consider it an achievement if someone else's paying for you?

@Anon: It's on purpose, don't like it on both sides. Think it's cooler that way. LOL

Hi, was wondering how come your insurance is so high?
