Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards 2011

Because of work, I couldn’t make it 2 years ago when it was held here in Singapore.

After finding out how much I’ve missed out from everybody else,
I rsvp-ed immediately upon the warm invitation this 2011; even though the venue’s at KL.
YES! I’m attending the “Grammy awards” dedicated to honour us, bloggers!!!

The bloggers set off on a torturous 7 hours coach ride, knowing that it would all be
worth while:

At the rest point
Our coach made a brief stop at this food court in Malaysia, where we break for lunch!

I grabbed a bite of my all time favourite, the Ramly Burger!
Disappointing, compared to the ones I usually get from our local Pasar Malam :(

And then… I heard mumblings like ‘Omg, so pretty! It looks like Disneyland~” in my sleep,
so I thought I was still dreaming when I saw this:

It wasn’t inception; WE ARRIVED!!!
At the doorstep of the super gorgeous Mariott Hotel:

Seems like I can have white Christmas too, here in Kuala Lumpur!

We finally checked into our room and starting dolling up with our swiftest speed!

After taking slightly lesser than forever, we all emerged FABULOUS:

Joining the other hundred over bloggers from all over Asia!

The Nomination Board:

Meet the gorgeous few that made Napbas fun-packed:

All of them beautifully clad in captivating outfits for the black tie event (
Pris, Val, Fidel and Nad)
Luckily I had my Herve Leger inspired super top-notch quality Toga Dress from Sashaxoxo.com

Here, we have the girl that everyone told me that we share a striking resemblance.

Silver Ang- with the ever dazzling smile.
I’m actually rather shy when meeting new people (yea I know you can’t tell from my face, but I do take awhile to warm up),
hence I didn’t go up to her until she cheerily went: “Hey Twin!”

So, meet my sweet and spontaneous twin!- not exactly similar when placed side by side.

We were one of the last few to arrive just in time before the ceremony begins,
thus I wasn’t left with much time to snap pictures with most of my enthusiastic readers (My sincere apologies).

Here’s one sweetheart from Malaysia that managed to grab me right after I finished signing on the guest log:

Just as the Nuffies were chasing us to be seated,
I spotted the makeshift studio corner with NAPBAS backdrop:

So I quickly pulled my blogger-friends and readers for a picture opportunity together:
(Little did I know that Nuffnang made it a souvenir for us as keepsake; pretty picture in a crystal frame *sweetness)

Gracing the entrance together with
Esther and Fidel:

The magnificent dining hall with tasteful lightings:

Bloggers of table 36; Thiang, Ben & Randy!

Seated beside me, Yina and Thiang~

Checking out the extravagant menu of the night:

Starters first:

At the same time; enjoy the entertainment of the opening:
(The event was also scheduled with many performances throughout,
but I guess the food took hold of my attention instead)

DAMN! BREADsss; my weak point :(
Once these nicely baked goodies were served, I could hardly resist them:

Meanwhile, the nominated bloggers were announced on stage according to the different categories:

And the winners were revealed in between meals:

Grape sorbet with fresh mint for a little refreshment:

Thankfully for the kind recommendation (though they had trouble advising us due to language barrier),
we opted for the dory fish after the service staffs went “fish, fish good” – which was indeed gratifying.

Tiramisu in chocolate cup!
I like it that the chef made everything not only edible but savoury too:

Lastly, they even served cookies with tea.
But we were sooo filled from all the indulgence, it was impossibru for us to stomach anymore of these.

The plate had to be left untouched; what a shame :(

You’ve probably already heard, here are the winners!

Ending off the ceremony with our group of red carpet worthy; Yina, Fidel, Clara and Nadia!

If you like the Herve Leger Inspired Toga that I wore for Napbas,
here’s where you can get it at a Fraction of it’s price!

But of course, we are in KL people~
THE NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG and the party’s certainly not stopping here!!!

We moved on to ZOUK, the best night spot in KL with the enthusiastic gang.
Wearing my sparkly Miss Glittery from Iwearsin.com

And the girls went on to shake our bums away:

Thank you girls for being so extemporaneous and delectable.
It wasn’t a second that I didn’t enjoy myself, I hope it’s the same for you :)

Thank you Nuffnang for sponsoring and inviting me to this marvellous event!
It’s impressive how you’ve grown to become a huge community today.
I’m genuinely proud to be part of the Nuffnang talents
