Sponsored Advertorial by Air Asia
Bandung is but a place
that does not sell the drink Bandung!
Thanks to Nuffnang and Air Asia, I had the privilege to attend the celebration
of the newly opened route from Singapore to Bandung and vice versa.
It was a trip catered for the media and travel agents for a full coverage on this experience.
I'm really glad that I'm part of this adventure so that I can share it with you guys! (:

And YES! My companion is none other than the blur
but still a candy-coated darling; Xiaoxue!

Finally, boarded the plane!
I must comment that the seats are much more spacious
compared to the other budget airlines.

The gorgeous flight attendants:

And within 2 hours or so we landed!
No idea why, but I adore the wings of the plane.
Only if I own such sturdy pair of wings, I would easily carry any other Herculean task!
No more burden! Everything weighs much like a feather!
Hohoho, I'll continue to dream on~

Upon arrival, it was a sweet surprise
when they presented each visitor with a rose!
Though a simple gesture, it actually brought a smile to our hearts and faces!

More stunning stewardess!

I felt the fresh air kissing my face.
The weather there is amazing! Felt like Genting, as cooling but just less freezing.

OIE Fredaaaaaa! Candid la!
Tammy's extorting me for my passport and I'm actually quite pleased about it. LOL. WTH!~
No la, she's just being sweet! Getting my passport for the Air Asia's representatives so that they could clear the immigration procedures for us. CHEYS~

Air Asia has invited 2 bloggers; which include myself and Tammy:

She also brought her girlfriend along and here's Freda!

While making our way to the V.I.P lounge:

Settled down:

And soon enough, the press conference began:

'AirAsia's latest Indonesia-Singapore link forms the final piece of our network jigsaw puzzle,' said Group CEO Tony Fernandes.
Speaking at a news conference, it was added that the budget carrier is expected to carry a total of 2 million passengers to and from Singapore in 2009.
Currently, they have only one flight per day from Bandung to Singapore,
however they have confidence that the thriving tourism would definitely require the need of additional flights.

At the end of the talk, it was time for refreshments!

Oneh Oneh! I could practically savor them all!
Aren't they like the most beautifully created kuehs?

My exclusive selection:

After which, we boarded on the chartered coach and zoomed off to our next destination for a meet and chat session with the Air Asia representatives:

Sightseeing along the journey:

I caught a flu on the day before departure.
And while we were here, I decided to give the hot ginger drink a try!
It's really effective and thank god I felt a hell lot better aftermath.

More adorable-looking kuehs! Gave these a miss though,
saving my stomach for the dinner =P

DINNERRRRRRR~ I've totally been waiting for this!
The table setting:

I think the guy on the foreground enjoys the attention.
So babes, don't forget to check out his beard. LOL.

WEEE! I spot esplanade~~
It's buffet time babies!

The wide varieties:

The appetizers and soup:
I just need to rave about the mutton soup; it's just way beyond fantastic!
They got rid of the strong mutton smell that I absolutely detest!
Love it especially with lime juice. I vote this as my favorite out of the lot!
Saw that green thingy beside the lime?
I mistook it as spinach, but it's actually sambal green chilli! And it's HOT AS HELL!
Both the appetizers were gratifying too.
Mine's the chicken salad, while Xiaoxue's tasted just as yummy as our very own rojak!

The main:
I enjoyed the Indonesian cuisines! Are you eyeing my kroepoek in (Indonesia)? hehehehe!
Yummy when dipped with the sauces.

The desserts:
I'm not much of a sweet tooth person
and my tummy was already filled to the brim by then!
But this pudding caramel is too enticing for me to miss!
So I took a few bites and it was indeed just as toothsome as it seems!

As if 1 candid is not enough:

Freda took 2 of my candid! :(

Photography by Xiaoxue on the left and mine on the right! What do you think?

Attempting to look like a mushroom head:

Then in the midst of eating, they had the 1st segment of lucky draw that I missed dropping my card into the bowl!
Tammy actually won a 3 days 2 nights stay at Bandung! :((((((
But guess what?! I managed to drop my for the later part, thanks to this kind Air Asia representative!
He ran to drop it for me. Hehehehe!
And I won a 3 days 2 nights stay at a 4 stars hotel in Bandung! WOOHOOOO~
Bloggers luck I guess. Sheesh!

Group picture time with the Air Asia Team and Media!

LOL!!! Tammy and Freda was doing the "AIR ASIA" cheer!

Our solo group picture!

And this is where we had dinner at earlier on! (:
Remember to dine here if you are making a trip to Bandung,
anytime after reading my post! =P

And it's time for us to head to our HOTEL for some good sleep!!!
Here's a few pictures of our hotel; Galeri "Ciumbuleuit" Hotel & Apartment!

Hehehe... Here's my take with my normal compact camera:

Tammy's take with DSLR:

Which of the image do you prefer? We took this on the next morning actually!
Back to the interior of our grand suite!
It's an apartment hotel, so there's a huge living room, kitchen,
3 bedrooms (1 master bed room), 1 store room and 1 balcony!

Messing around! Posing theme: "The 大男人 and their 小女人"

View from the Balcony!

The kitchen:
Comes with a fridge, microwave oven, tap, and mineral water dispenser!

Complimentary fruits!

Our bedroom! MUHAHAHA~

Admiring the view from my room!

Here's a peek of Tammy and Freda's bedroom!

The smaller bedroom which we classify as our "imaginary" maid's room, LOL:

Lastly, the storeroom that we never dared to open
until I finally did on the last day!
Because Freda freaked us out by saying that she would never ever try opening it because who knows what's inside.
!!!!!! It's just an empty room for god's sake. LOL.
Curiosity kills a cat, but it doesn't kill to open it on the final day of our stay. Wahahaha.
There's also a small little balcony on the side as well! so it makes two!

Early next morning,
our private driver arranged by Air Asia came to pick us up for our shopping trip!

DID WE HEAR SHOPPINGGGGG?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
YAY!!!!!

They have raffles city there too!
Happened to pass by and captured this shot while on the car:

This is really cool if you’re boarding their public transports,
they have these "street musicians" everywhere that would just hop on to play you a tune!
It's your choice to tip them in token of appreciation (:
I understood from our tour guide that they treat this as a form of practice & display of their talent!

Sucks, I blurred it. But still adore the effects.

I also managed to capture a shot of the horse and the rider!
Check out that weird mask!

TADAHHHH! The SECRET Factory Outlet!
I personally think that Bandung is a undiscovered SHOPPING HEAVEN!
The factories are huge and have a wide range of clothes!
BEST OF ALL? The prices are really affordable! (:

Sorry, no photography allowed.
I risked myself from being thrown out to get these images taken!
(LOL, not to that extend, but I played hide and seek with the security guard though :X)
So secretive hor, no wonder it's known as Secret Factory :(((

We were each given a $100000 Rupiah voucher to shop! WEEEEEEE!
Needless to say, we fully utilized it and topped up with more cash to exchange for our huge bags of loots!
Although Secret is my favorite,
here are the other factory outlets that are worth a visit as well!
Heritage, mainly clothes for the man but also have some catered for the ladies~

Cascade! Huge factory outlet that sells mainly on women apparels;
biz wears, blazers, sweaters etc.

Then we moved on to Paris Van Java!
Explanation: It's like a Paris in Java! In other words, A SHOPPING HEAVEN!
The "REAL" shopping and entertainment centre in city of Bandung!

The locals here simply call it "PVJ" as it's a well known tourist and local destination!
There are a great mix of international and national brands: Guess, Espirit, Sogo, Mango, Gramedia, Nike, Adidas, Giordano and many more!
The upcoming big brands are: Tag Heuer, Fossil, Celebrity Fitness Ice Skating (Open Air Style, first in SEA), Phoebe & Chloe, Ace Hardware, Toys 'R' Us, Watsons and more; to rejuvenate the selection for the wide range of vistors coming to Paris Van Java everyday!
Let me show you around (:
Tadah! SOGO! It's like our Metro!
If I'm not wrong, SG used to have departmental store as well right?

LOOK!
The rear pretty white fan-tailed pigeons that stick their chests out so high, they look too heavy on the bottom! LOL!
There are also other tame and cute litle breeds of birds around as well.

Wahahaha, they look exactly like this! I googled it =P
Looks rather proud and royal-like ehs?

Didn't take any pictures of the stores though.
They have our usual La Senza, faceshop, bodyshop, guess, quicksilver, billabong
and many other big brands that are priced lower than SG!
This shopping mall is pretty huge and it's gonna be worthed every penny!

Cute little fanciful hats:

They sell delicious cakes too!

.
.
.
.
.
You are PWNED!
Wahahaahaha! I’m sure they do sell yummy cakes too.
BUT THESE ARE TOWEL CAKES!!!
You probably might have seen them around, but don't lie!
YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE REAL CAKES ON THE FIRST SIGHT RIGHT! DON'T BLUFF!!!!
I'm not gonna believe!!!!! =P

And we are proud of Ya Kun Kaya Toast! The symbol of Singapore lehs!
I can eat toasts like these everyday man.

The shopping mall's washroom!

Filled with pretty Kois!

Visited the pet shop there!

OMG! LOOK AT THEM!!!!
So cuteeeeee please! And you can own them for just 100000 Rupiah!
Which costs much lesser than SGD$150!
If I don't remember wrongly though. Just a lot cheaper than in SG, that is.

Other than just shopping, "PVJ" also have a beautiful garden setting that is open for customers' access!
This paradise is known as "Paradiso!" It's where you can pick up strawberries whiles watching the exotic birds; peacocks, peasants and white fan doves!

See how delighted Freda is!

Anybody knows what fruits are these? Is it edible?

On our way to the mini zoo!

The growing stages of a caterpillar!

Super big fat disgusting caterpillar!

And it evolved into a beautiful big butterfly!

Dinner was held at the restaurant there:

Buffet spread! I love picking my own choice of food:

My choice:

Chocolate pudding!

After our sumptuous dinner:

The restaurant's washrooms:

And that sums up our visit at Paris Van Java!

Headed back and called room service for a good full body massage!
Costed less than 150000 Rupiah! WOOTS!

This Tammy girl come and disturb me only. Hahahaha.

Just finished my massage and she came shooting away while I was counting my notes :(

After I sent her flying with my power kick,
she proceeded to disturb Xiaoxue as well:

Cheys, want our attention to help her take pics only.
The Garfield twins! LOL! Cute.

Pillow fight!
Maybe that's their form of exercise to maintain their figure?
Now now, go on, try it.

And look what I've found!
An apple with a star; one of it from the complimentary fruits!
Tasted sweet but I think that it's exceptionally exquisite!
Noticed that there are a total of 10 dots around the star?

My new gains!

Gifts from Air Asia!

Got my towel cakeeeeee too!!!!

I would call for room service anytime!
It's less than $3 per plate!!! Give me no reasons not to order it all the time!

Breakfast buffet again on the final day!

Two different breakfasts that I had over the days:

If you are planning for a holiday anytime soon,
you should have already decided
on which destination to head to after reading my entry, yes?
OF COURSE IT'S BANDUNG! WHERE ELSE?!
Go on and discover the new shopping era! You won't regret it
Feel free to ask me any questions, I would try my best to respond ya! (:
