A ride to Pulau Ubin!
Exactly, my virgin trip to this island right across Singapore.
Always wanted to check it out, but never had the chance.
Boat rides are priced at $2.50 per adult, payable via cash on board.
Boarding the bumpy boat:
Was a short ride, but I kinda enjoyed it due to the sea breeze!
Across the waters:
And there we are!
Finally laying my feet on this island!
Be prepared to pay $4/h for your bicycle instead of the stated “$2/day”.
The owner would claim that the $2 ones are old, rusty
and wouldn’t serve you as well.
Make sure you have ample drink before you set off.
It’s gonna be a long trip up!
You wouldn’t want to be dehydrated (:
All ready for the road trip!
Haven’t been riding for quite some time already,
glad that my rusty skills didn’t fail me!
Next, check out the map.
Just so that you’d know where you’re heading:
Love the greens and serenity!
But mossies are all around, so don’t forget your insect repellent!
And after a long ride up hills,
we spotted the beach!
Not exactly a sandy one, but still…
Mongrels lazing around:
YAY! I felt accomplished!
Like I went through the whole island, finally.
And probably shed a kilo or two during the ride. LOL
I must say that it’s a pretty good short getaway
from the buzzing and hustling of the city (:
I think it would be a long time before I would be there again.
